The gown is made from Tychem F, which is a lightweight and durable material. It provides a high barrier against the permeation of a wide range of chemicals and protects the wearer from numerous organic and highly concentrated inorganic chemicals. It is antistatic.

Permanently attached KCL Camapren 720 neoprene gloves are also part of the gown. The glove offers good resistance to animal and vegetable oils and fats, as well as many acids and alkalis. The material also makes it very temperature-resistant and flexible at low temperatures.
